Channel Linking
The "Channel Linking" section is used to configure the service chats and channels that Imperium Guard uses in its operation.
Here you can specify separately:
- A chat or channel for logs.
- A chat or channel for administrator reports.
- A chat or channel for trigger notifications.
What Can Be Configured
Logs
This linking is used for the bot's service logs.
The following are sent here:
- Messages about moderator actions.
- Messages about automatic moderation triggers.
Administrator Channel
This linking is used for notifications that administrators should see.
For example, the following may be sent here:
- User reports.
- Service notifications for the administration.
If this channel is not configured, some administrative functions will not work fully.
Trigger Channel
This linking is used for notifications related to triggers.
This is suitable if you want to receive trigger activations in a separate location, rather than mixing them with other messages.
How to Link a Channel or Chat
- Open "Settings" → "Customization" → "Channel Linking".
- Select the desired item: "Logs", "Administrator Channel", or "Trigger Channel".
- Click the "select chat or channel" button.
- Specify the desired chat or channel.
The linking is saved immediately after selection.
What Can Be Selected
For each linking, you can choose:
- A regular chat.
- A channel.
This is convenient if you want to use:
- A separate private chat for the team.
- A separate service channel.
How to Unlink a Channel
If the linking is no longer needed:
- Open the desired item in the "Channel Linking" section.
- Click the "remove linking" button.
After that, the corresponding chat or channel will be unlinked.
How to Choose What to Link
For a small chat
It is usually sufficient to:
- Configure only the administrator channel.
For a chat with active moderation
It is often useful to:
- Move logs to a separate chat.
- Configure a separate administrator channel.
- When using triggers, create a separate channel for them.
For a large community
It is convenient to separate:
- Logs.
- Reports and administrative notifications.
- Notifications for triggers.
This prevents service streams from interfering with each other.
Important
- For each linking, you can use either a chat or a channel.
- Linkings are configured separately from each other.
- If the necessary service channel is not configured, related functions may not work or may not work fully.
